Sources for non-experts: The Ellen Lupton book I passed around in class, /Thinking with Type/; the Ilovetypography.com blog; the film /Helvetica/ (wanted to show this in class but ran out of time); anything by Stanley Morison, a type historian *and* developer of the ubiquitous Times New Roman typeface.
